The final Pop Up to wrap the series strengthens the skill of pitching. Pitching is a valuable attribute for selling products, giving presentations, and for work opportunities, such as interviews. Students are exposed to the story arch utilized in storytelling to communicate a more effective story and pitch. We encourage practicing the art of pitching to improve upon the skill by integrating different styles of pitching into one session. The idea is to get participants to feel comfortable and more confident in their ability to “sell” something. Students will practice elevator pitching on a hypothetical elevator and others will offer suggestions for improvement. This open environment encourages everyone to try out different techniques and grow in the skill.
